I love to teach. At the moment I teach various subjects at Delft University of Technology. I have a general interest in games and games research. More recently, I developed an interest in writing musings. It's more like a love/hate relationship, actually. My partner doesn't mind, thankfully.

Being cited, such an honor!
A couple of weeks ago I talked to a lovely friend of mine. She taught a class in which one of her students referred to my paper quite positively. That was already a huge honor. But this... This is an even bigger one. Jacco van Uden and Jesse Zuurmond have been writing for managementsite.nl. In an article posted February 7, they cite my DiGRA conference paper quite heavily.

PhD research
Tell me why I don't like winters...
Winter is upon us. Us Dutch, I mean. Until now the weather has been quite pleasant, actually. Especially for a winter. It's been more like a long autumn, to be honest. But that's about to change, or so the weathermen and -women tell us. In a couple of days the temperature will duck to below 0, even during the day.
